(0) comments Thursday, September 15, 2005 ( 5:17 PM ) Lenny Hi, I have just a few moments in between classes, so here I am. The first week is over and it wasn't all that terrible in the end. Most of my new students are great and there haven't been any major problems yet. It was hot though ... REALLY hot!!! This week, the weather has been getting worse and even though the coolness makes it more comfortable inside the classrooms, I still miss the sun already. However, the weekend is supposed to be sunny and that's great ... because it's my birthday then! I don't really have anything spectacular to tell ... Apart from working, doing some household chores and watching TV, I haven't had the time to do a lot of great things. So, I'll say goodbye for now ... It was a bit hectic, but mainly HOT!!! It must have been close to 30°C inside because sweat was pouring down my face from the first till the last minute! Open windows and doors didn't help much ... and tonight's class had 19 students (+ 19 PC's and screens heating up the place). It's a bit of a drag, that first week back ... but on the other hand: I see my colleagues again and I love hanging out with them! OK, this is short but I just need some crisps now ... URGENTLY!!! Lenny # (0) comments Tuesday, August 30, 2005 ( 11:10 PM ) Lenny Hi, I'm in my last week of summer holiday. I can't believe how fast these months have gone by again ... It's a pity the weather was so bad here in Belgium all summer. Fortunately, I powered up on solar energy in Spain for 2 1/2 weeks! Last week I accompanied my boyfriend Micha and his friend Gert to a famous Belgian racing event: 24 hours of Zolder. I will admit that I didn't expect much of it to begin with ... I don't like racing, rally, formula 1 (whatever the difference is) ... but that event was truly horrible!
The decadence of the whole thing made me sick, really. Stupid boys who never outgrew their puberty spend millions of euros on fancy toys ... while millions of people in this world don't even have food! The only good thing about it really was the bungee-jumping and the food stands ... Ah, fries CAN be a comfort! I just had to get this off my chest ... Lenny # (1) comments Thursday, August 25, 2005 ( 12:08 AM ) Lenny Hi, I won't even bother calculating how long it's been since I wrote something in this weblog ... but there is a good reason to do so now ... I am about to publish my brand new website!!! I have finally taken the time to work out the kind of design that is expected from a webdesign teacher, rather than the dull and absolutely non-consequently "designed" pages of "the old days" ... It could still improve, of course, and I do hope I'll find some time to increase my webdesign skills soon, but for now I'm quite happy ... I have decided to downsize the site seriously. The French part was already ditched about a year ago, but now I have ditched virtually every section of the site, except for a personal page, a Meulebeke section, a holiday section and a link page! Although music, TV and such are still important to me, there are other and far better sites about my favourite singers and actors! For now, you'll only find pictures of my latest trip to Spain in the holiday section, but I will copy most of my holiday pictures to the new design as soon as I can ... See you!
